Every device on your team

Half your band is on Android. That's fine.

The best chord apps are iPhone-only, so somebody always ends up with a printout. Unison runs on every phone, tablet and laptop your team already owns — with nothing to install.

One app. iPhone on the left, Android on the right.

What usually happens

The good app is iOS-only, so your Android players get a PDF
Different people on different tools, none of them agreeing
The one iPad in the building becomes essential
A new volunteer has to buy something before they can play

How Unison handles it

One app — iPhone, Android, tablet, laptop, all the same
Nothing to install from a store; it opens from a link
Everyone sees the same set, the same keys, the same notes
A dep covering on Sunday is playing from it in a minute
Why it holds up

One app, every device on the rota

No app store

A link is all anyone needs

No download, no Apple ID, no store review holding up a fix. Send the link and they're in.

Home screen

It still feels like an app

Add to Home Screen once and you get an icon, full screen and offline access — same as anything you'd install.

One version

Nobody on last month's build

Everyone is on the current version the moment it ships, so “it looks different on mine” stops happening.

And to be straight with you

Adding it to the home screen on an iPhone means opening it in Safari and tapping Share, then Add to Home Screen. It's two taps but it isn't obvious, so we walk you through it the first time.

The Unison remote on a phone: the song Alleluia, slide 120 of 142, a red-edged panel showing the two lines on the wall, a green-edged panel showing the two coming next, and Back, Next and Hold to blank.
And the phone in the leader's hand can drive the screen — the words the congregation is reading, and the words coming next. That one is Present, a paid add-on, not part of a Unison plan.

Get everyone on the same page.

Everyone on your rota gets their own login, included — whatever phone they happen to carry.

Questions

Is it an app or a website?
Technically a web app, which means it installs from a link instead of a store. Once it's on your home screen you won't notice the difference, including offline.
Does it work on the iPad at the front?
Yes, and on a laptop at the sound desk. Same charts, same keys, same setlist.
Do all our musicians need their own account?
Yes, and they're included in your plan at no extra cost — we charge per church, not per person.
